2 year's ago it started to die(but would always restart) so everything pointed to PMD module being bad so I bought one for $180, then I relocated it as recommended(even with a chiller), closed my hood after plugging into new PMD assuming that it was gonna crank rt up BUT it never started again. Also, I couldn't plug back in to old PMD because it's mounted under spider intake and unplugging it was hard enough so to plug back in without taking intake apart is literally impossible. The rear got damaged because my neighbor ran into it one night and from sitting paint on top half as gone dead(typical)

I was told by 2 mobile mechanics who i called that anytime replacing a pmd that truck must get reprogrammed(one of them wanted $250. 00 to do this). Confusing part is, whenever i go back and read all ebay listings selling pmd's(including one i bought my new one from), none say/state that their new pmd needs reprogramming?! And a lot of listings for them and blogs online state how its always a good idea to carry an extra one in the glovebox in case u ever r out and need one, but surly u wouldn't have to reprogram the spare one u would carry?. But, it makes sense that my new one needs programming since it always cranked with the old one but never started with its new one?! This truck is very special to me because #1, it's the vehicle that i've ever put the most miles on in my life and #2, i'm a rare dsl lover(have owned many including the super rare 1984 s10 dsl allover the net that sold for $10 grand), and i know what this baby is worth with little $ spent on it! It just has to be the injection pump?! Motor is awesome tho besides this non starting issue! Tire's r rt at new, windshield is rt at new, window tint is lifetime warranty tint and is perfect, starter is rt at new(lifetime warranty too), ac compressor was replaced and blows ice cold but its clutch has always been a little noisy. Its interior is in amazing condition!!! It even has another new burgundy leather custom steering wheel on it now that matches interior color better(not shown in pics). U wouldn't believe just how many people have tried to buy this baby from me over the past decade and a half(lotssss) but i never wanted to sell it(i honestly still don't but i have found a near by mechanic shop who works on diesel's and i'm tired of c/n it just sit. This 88-98 era is gonna come up next and u couldn't ever buy more cool dsl than this baby! I found a reman injection pump here on ebay for as cheap as $399. 99?. Last, don't be confused about the 6. 5's! 1996 is the first year they got perfected! 1996 year mdl 6. 5's don't even look like 93-95 6. 5's. Air Conditioning
