Here's the story about the car: i have had the car over 20 years. Mybusiness partner and myself have both loved mopars since we were teenagers. (along time ago!) when i bought itthe person who sold it to me had started fixingit up. It had already been re-painted by them. (i believe it might have beenoriginally a light yellow.) the440 had already been installed too. This car wasoriginally a small block (318). They also put the r/t stripes on the car. 1971challenger convertibles never were r/t's nor did they come with a 440. Another odd thing came with the car back then. It had a 4 point roll bar weldedinto the floor behind the front seats. I didn't get much info about the pasthistory from the seller but they did mention that it had been "raced" a little. Judging from the 440 and the shift kit in theauto transmission, i'm notsurprised the roll bar was there. One of the first things i did was to have theroll bar removed. (safety yes, but it looks much better without.).

I am the 3rd owner and purchased it from the second owner in the fall of 2016 who purchased it from the original owner in august of 2015. The original owner was a record producer that had a number of cars, hence the low mileage. The car spent its entire life in florida (south beach and tampa). I love the car but i am selling it because i am trying to pay off some debt. The car has a clean title with no accidents. The original owner also owned a 1992 dodge viper that he purchased new, as a result he was very knowledgeable on who the best people were to work on his vipers.

I cleaned up the wiring nightmare under the hood, fixed some leaks, restored the wheels, added new tires, changed a partial floor pan, restored the interior and carpet, installed cd player and speakers, added r/t graphics, had some minor body work done and a fresh exterior paint job, and repaired many other small issues, etc... Temporary 6 gallon fuel tank works fine for short town runs... Will need neck and tank. CD Player
