Comoptions:description:rare 1970 genuine javelin sst, the sst was made into the legendary mark donohue edition approximately 20 years ago when it was repainted. It is not a true original mark donohue edition and i am not advertising it as such. (i tried to change the title to add "clone" but ebay will not allow me to and i had it in there originally). During the conversion it was transplanted with an amc 401 motor with all of the correct ram air parts and they all work as they should. Very powerful & yet a great driver. It is a "p" code car, meaning it originally came from the factory with the 360 engine. I have the original build sheet which will prove that it is an original sst javelin painted to its original color of matador red and with its original red leather interior in place as well. The mileage is 78,000 and i cannot confirm it to be original but i truly believe that it is.

Body is super solid but did get some small patches in the floor done before it was taken off the road. Only unaddressed issue is some perforation in one fender trough. All glass is present and good. Original to car 390 with 1970 dog leg heads. Engine was built to run a turbo and has 7. 1 pistons. The cam that was chosen was too big for the turbo and only was run for a short time. The engine was stored incorrectly and took on some water. It is going to need a rebuild. T10 close ratio 4 speed with a scattershield and a 3:54/1 posi in the rear. Power brake car with original calipers. Headliner is good but the rest of the interior needs attention. Grille is repairable.

I have all the title documents to back it up. The previous owner completed the restoration and drivetrain swap. This one of a kind rambler sports a steelcrank 340 that is pushing 325hp. It is paired to a 1967 833 4 spd. The rearend is a sure-grip with 323 gears. The entire build has about 200 brake-in miles on the car. Everything is nice and tight. This wagon really scoots and is so much fun to drive! Large front disc brakes were installed and restored drums in the rear. The car has a manual rack n pinion steering system and all new gas kyb shocks and spring were installed. The wheels and bfgoodwrench tires are new just like the rest of the car. The body and paint are perfect. No scratches or swirls of any kind. This car is ready to win shows and is always welcome at every mopar event. There is absolutely no rust anywhere on this car. No panels were cut and nothing has been replaced as far as i can see. Everything closes nice and tight and all gaps are correct.
